From Bollywood to Islam!

From Bollywood to Islam!
She used to spend her days getting dolled up with the best of branded, glamorous outfits and makeup. Shopping in the expensive malls was her biggest passion. For this shopaholic (as she would call herself), Dubai was the most preferred shopping destination. But that was till 2012.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, house to India’s film industry, Murcyleen Peerzada, 23, worked as an assistant director for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ while still in the last year of her college. Her father, Feroz Peerzada, a wealthy Kashmiri businessman who had known Yash Chopra for three decades, introduced her to the famous film director.
And her aim was to make it big at the silver screen.
But her life is a complete reverse to what it used to be.
Murcyleen, still based in Mumbai, has donated all her expensive outfits, branded accessories, and makeup to the orphanages to lead a simple and modest life. The dramatic turn over came with the death of the film director who was known for making romantic movies.
“I was very close to Yash Ji (Yash Chopra). His death shook me entirely, and I started thinking about life and the higher power that controls everything. I went into depression for three or four months. I used to do nothing,” Murcyleen told Kashmir Reader on phone from Mumbai.
“While looking for an answer on internet, I came across the videos of world renowned Islamic speakers like Nouman Ali Khan and Yasmin Mogahed,” she said.
“When I heard Khan for the first time, I was like ‘Oh My God! He is talking to me only’. I was a Muslim just by name, not by practice. But the knowledge I attained from Khan and Mogahed was awakening. That was the point of life where I started praying twice a day. And I used to ask Allah to guide me and show me the right path,” she said.
Murcyleen is now an Islamic orator with Zakir Naik’s Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) in Mumbai. Recently, she conducted a first-of-its-kind all-women Islamic Peace Conference here.
“I was 19 when I started working for Yash Raj Films (YRF) as an assistant director for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. I took it as a stepping stone as my goal was to become an actor,” she said about her journey from Bollywood to Islam.
In her next film for YRF, ‘Shudh Desi Romance’, Murcyleen was offered a screen-test.
“The director of the movie is known to launch new faces, so he offered me a screen test. When I faced the camera, I don’t know what happened to me and I suddenly felt very exposed and vulnerable. I felt like an object with all eyes on me. I couldn’t take it, and I walked out saying ‘I don’t want to do this ever’,” she said.
“Yash Chopra was like a grandfather to me. When I told him about my decision, we talked about it for more than an hour. Then I decided that I will do costume, and Yash Ji recommended me to Manish Malhotra,” she said.
Murcyleen hadn’t joined Malhotra when the turning point in her life (Chopra’s death) came in her life October 2012.
While browsing internet for Islamic knowledge, she, while cleaning her house, found a pile of files with Allah written on the topmost one.
“It was transcript of a video of Zakir Naik on the topic ‘Women in Islam’. It instantly gripped me as if I found the purpose of my life. It was so enlightening that I read the whole bunch by the evening,” she said.
That very evening, she decided the future course of her life and got herself enrolled in IRF to learn about Islam under the guidance of Farah Naik, wife of Zakir Naik.
“People find Islam very strict, but I found it more liberal. During my initial months at IRF, I did not cover my head, and nobody would force me to do it. In fact, my colleagues would think that I was a revert to Islam.
“It was only after I myself understood the importance of hijab for a woman that I started covering my head. I am glad about my transformation and I want more and more people to turn towards Allah because that is the only truth,” she said.
Murcyleen is currently doing an advanced course in order to become an IRF orator. Besides, she is doing her Masters in Islamic Studies from the Islamic Online University in Qatar through correspondence. She intends to organize more Islamic conferences for women in Kashmir in near future.
“I found that Kashmiri women are more attracted to Westernisation. They are where I was some years ago. I know how exactly they feel. My generation cannot be inspired with angry speeches. Therefore, I want to connect with youth through more peace conferences where scholars talk at length about various things in a subtle way,” she added.

ALL _OR_NONE

I feel like we have a very all-or-none attitude about love. I think there are notions of love that we as Muslims react to by believing human love is worthless or doesn't really exist. Dude. Human love does exist. Awesome, human love exists! Beautiful friendships exist. Romantic love exists. Human loyalty and courage and selflessness do exist. And these are powerful and transformative things. Why? Because the Creator made it so! There's a difference between being dependent and being grateful. Let's stop with the all-or-none, and appreciate the breathtaking beauty God has given us *in His creation*, and the love between them.

ALLAH and You

People come, people go. Goodbyes are common. But in the end, there will be one true love story, which is between YOU and Allah!

Acceptance

To be angry when things don't work out the way you want them to, is to question God's will. Acceptance is the only path to peace.

I want him. I need him .I love him

Love him …when he "forgets" that special occasion. For him every moment with you is special so he does not need an occasion.
Love him…when he comes late from the Musjid. He wants to make sure he is early with you in Jannah (Paradise).
Love him…when he admonishes you to don the hijaab. He wants to be sure you enshrouded by Allah's Mercy when you leave the home.
Love him...when he is jealous. Out of all the women he could have, he chose you to be his wife!
Love him...when he is working till late. At least he comes home and you still get to sleep and wake up in his loving and caring arms.
Love him…when he has annoying little habits that drives you nuts. You have them too (and maybe more)
Love him…when does not praise your cooking. He told you as newlyweds that yours was indeed always the best.
Love him…when he looks dishevelled. He was more busy caring for the family than grooming himself. By the way he is cute!
Love him…when he does not help in the home. He is out earning a halaal (pure) income for the family.
Love him...when he does not reply to your questions. He does not want to hurt your feelings or is absorbed in thinking about your welfare.
Love him…when he looks beautiful. He's yours to appreciate!
Love him…when he goes out in the Path of Allah. He is preparing a blissful eternal home for you in Jannah.
Love him...when he does not comment when you get angry. He is a good listener.
Love him…when he buys you gifts you don't like. Smile and tell him it's what you've always wanted. He took the time and money out just for you!
Love him…when he has developed a bad habit. You have many more and with wisdom and politeness you have all the time to help him change.
Love him…when he is irritable and moody. Buy chocolates, massage his head and feet and just chat to him. He will become your slave!
Love him…when whatever you do is not pleasing. It's like a storm; it happens and will soon pass by.
Love him…when he drives so fast. He only wants you to be there in time.
Love him…when he extends his period of rest. He is re-charging himself to serve you the best.
Love him…when he forgets to say "I love you". He actually shows his love in many other ways.
Love him…when he forgets to buy the bread or milk. He was rushing home to be with you.
Love him…when he does not give you a chance to talk. He just knows what is in your heart and what it is you want to say.
Love him…when he "demands" respect. After all he is the head of the house.
Love him…when he shouts the kids. He only wants to ensure they are corrected and have a good moral upbringing.
Love him…he is yours. You don't need any other special reason!!!!
All this forms part of a man's character. Your Husband is part of your life and should be treated as the King!.
Almighty Allah Ta'ala says:
" And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts)…" (Qur'an 30:21)
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is reported to have said:
· 'Any woman who dies, and her husband is pleased with her, will enter Paradise.'"(Hadith-Ibn Majah)
· "If a woman prays her five daily prayers, fasts her month (of Ramadan), obeys her husband and guards her chastity, then it will be said to her: 'Enter Paradise by whichever of its gates you wish."(Hadith-Ahmad and al-Tabarani)
· "Pay attention to how you treat him(husband), for he is your Paradise and your Hell."(Hadith-13 Ahmad and al-Nisa'i)
· "No human being is permitted to prostrate to another, but if this were permitted I would have ordered wives to prostrate to their husbands, because of the greatness of the rights they have over them."(Hadith: Ahmad and al-Bazzar)
Don't wait for that special occasion, take time NOW to make him feel Special in Every Way! Just give him a HUGE HUG and if he asks why then say: " It's just because you are so SPECIAL…"

Lifetime

You may choose to live a single moment in the disobedience of Allah, and it is that moment that leads you to a lifetime of sins, and a lifetime of your soul feeling constricted.

Yet you may choose to live that single moment in the obedience of Allah, and it is that moment that leads you to a lifetime of piety, and in that moment Allah forgives a lifetime of sins.

I LOVE HİJAB

ALLAH knows

But perhaps you hate a thing  and it is good for you ,and perhaps you love a thing and is it bad for you .And ALLAH knows while you know not.

Prayers

I am not worried about ALLAH not accepting my prayers. But i am worried about the way i pray to ALLAH.

Our Prophet

Our Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said that the Hujaaj (Hajj pilgrims) and those who are performing Umrah are the guests of Allah whom Allah has invited so if they ask Him for something He (subḥānahu wa ta‘āla) would respond.

Umrah is a special invitation from Allah (subḥānahu wa ta‘āla) to His house and He invites whom He pleases. It is a time & place when Allah (subḥānahu wa ta‘āla) answers the du'a of his guests who call upon Him.

Join Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi as he teaches the Fiqh of Umrah and shares practical advice on how to have a memorable Umrah.

Useful

"Useful knowledge is that which makes you grow in the fear of Allah, increases you in awareness of your defects, deepens your knowledge of the worship of your Lord Most High, decreases your desire for this world and increases your desire for the life to come, and opens your eyes to the defects of your actions so that you guard against them."

Revelation

Revelations and orders were given to the Prophet (saw) through Jibra'eel (as). But Salah is such an important and weighty aspect of this deen, that Allah (swt) Himself gave it directly to Prophet Muhammad (saw) during the Night Journey.

He (swt), gave Salah as a gift to the Prophet (saw). It was during the Year of Sorrow that the beloved last Messenger was taken upto the Heavens, and Allah (swt) rewarded him and blessed this Ummah with the greatest gift imaginable; being able to talk to our Rabb. Do not let Salah become a chore, allow it to be a means of purification and find comfort and peace in speaking to He who is As- Sami (the All- Hearing).

(Ibrahim (as) said:) "My Lord! Make me and my descendants people who establish Salat. My Lord! Accept my prayer." [Surah Ibrahim 14:40]

Your spouse is not your servant,

Your spouse is not your servant, neither
does he/she work for you. Marital life is a
team effort, and although Islam makes the
man the leader, a leader still needs a good
team to get things done.
So make sure you marry someone you can
work well with, because you will be
working together for the rest of your life,
inshaa Allah.

"Real men don't cry"

For all those people who claim that "real men don't cry", please stop acting hero and sit back down. Our beloved Messenger cried whilst making dua'a for his ummah every night and yet he was the realist of men.

Sallalahu alayhi wasalam

Lovely sister, we are proud of you!

Dear sister in Islam...,
We know its hard. We know you look at the pictures of the models and the celebrities and wonder why you can’t look like them? We know it hurts to sometimes refrain yourself from plucking those brows or to put on that hijab & abaya. We know it gets hard to walk outside with no make up on, with your natural face, thinking it’s not good enough and all of your flaws are showing.
You know what else we know? We know you’re beautiful, regardless of what you think of yourself. We know that even the slightest inclination of pleasing Allah in yourself increases that beauty ten-fold and we know that when Allah finds you beautiful, it’s all that matters. You’re not doing this for the world, remember? You’re not even doing it for yourself.
Imagine your beauty on the Day of Qiyamah when your face would be glowing and radiant with noor, when you would enter Jannah & be more beautiful than the hoor and you would realize that it was this world really wasn’t worth the drool.
Lovely sister, we are proud of you!

Super hero

Do you know

LİFE

Remember, always remember, in everything you do, that this life is not very long, and it is meant primarily as an opportunity for you to worship God and do good for God's pleasure, living in a way that pleases Him. Whenever you encounter a difficult decision, as yourself, "What course would God prefer I take?" This is how we must try to live every day. Whatever we do, even our everyday tasks like washing the dishes or going to work, making dinner or watching a YouTube video, we should make intention in our hearts to do this thing for the sake of Allah. If making such an intention for the action we are about to undertake makes us uncomfortable, if it is something that is displeasing to Allah, it may be that this action is best not undertaken.
You don't need to reject the dunya entirely, and there is nothing wrong with being happy and enjoying your time here, but just remember that you are here to serve your Creator, which is done in many ways, but must be our top priority. In the next life, with God's grace and acceptance, we will be together in paradise, and there we will experience true enjoyment better than anything in this world.
"...the next life is better and more lasting..."
O Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, guide us to the best of actions, purify our intentions, accept our good deeds, and forgive our sins, our mistakes, and our shortcomings. Protect us from punishment, and grant us entrance into Your Garden, graced with flowing streams, in the company of Your servants, O Most Merciful of the Merciful!
